Verified Reviewer | Staines-Upon-Thames, EnglandStaff walked into my room at 1am while I was sleeping!!
DONT BOOK!!! STAFF UNLOCKED AND ENTERED MY ROOM AT 1AM WHILE I WAS SLEEPING!!!
I needed a place to crash for a couple of hours for my next flight and the last check in is at 10pm I arrived 9:30pm with everything locked and no lights on?!
There was a sign that said late check in call GOBI and then his phone number. I called he came within 5 mins drunk and admitted to it! I told him about my really early check out and he said the earlier the better. He showed me to my room.
The door to the rooms was wide open 24/7 to let anyone in and he even said it will stay open and that if it gets locked to just call him but that its rare that the door to the ROOMS will be closed. The rooms have pinpad locks and they are very loud when you lock and unlock them. He wanted me to say my PIN code OUTLOUD I was uncomfortable and said no Ill punch it in myself. I entered the room that smelled of cigarettes and looked disgusting but like I said I needed it for a couple of hours.
I asked for the password to wifi he told me to give him my phone in which he yet implied that he was too drunk to punch it in correctly, took him two tries. I put my things down and it took him a while to get the hint to get out and leave me alone. (While also inviting me to have drinks with him and his friend downstairs) I said no. I go to sleep right away around 10:30pm after calling my sister goodnight.
I wake up SCARED AT 1AM to a man standing in front of my door wide open!!! I screamed at him what the h*** are you doing ?!?!? He turned on the lights and turned them back off said he was checking rooms and said sorry closed my door and proceeded to OPEN EVERY OTHER DOOR ON MY FLOOR. like I said the pad locks are very loud I could hear every padlock and door being opened and no one else is to be heard which is so alarming to assume I was the only one on that floor.
My hearts racing I called an Uber to head back to the airport while messaging him to please wait for me, felt safer ANYWHERE than in that hotel! As Im walking out I see Gobi in the smoking area I confronted him and he acted like nothing happened and that I was crazy with literally tears down my face from how traumatized I am. I reported it to the police and called Agoda for a refund and report. They said we have to wait to hear back from the hotel.
Just got the email after I wrote them a very detailed email to Oyo swan and Ill attach what they wrote to me. THEY DONT CARE!! MY LIFE COULD OF AND FELT WAS ON THE LINE WHATEVER THE INTENTIONS WERE.
I am forever traumatized being a female solo traveler.
ALSO THEY HAVE CAMERAS AND ONE OF THEM WAS POINTED TO MY ROOM SO FOR THEM TO SAY THERE WAS NO ISSUE SHOWS EITHER THE CAMERAS DONT WORK AND ITS THE STAFFS WORD OVER THE GUESTS THAT PAY FOR A SAFE STAY OR THEY TRULY JUST DONT CARE FOR ONE MORE BAD REVIEW!!! I was desperate to book an affordable one night sleep and now I will never let money be the toll of my safety!!!
- Inaccurate check in description
- I have generated refund request
- Drunk staff

I made a reservation thru Epedia for 8/9-8/11 in Muskegon. I was aware it was non refundable.
When i went to check in, the clerk told me of a problem with all of the "hotel" rooms and all they had was extended stay rooms. She told me that those rooms had more wear and tear, they were in the process of replacing the linens to the "better" ones, but she herself didnt recommend those rooms. I had my son with me and was not ok with this. She said...i dont blame you and i will approve a refund, all you have to do is have Expedia call us.
Expedia tried, no answer. Expedia emailed them. The manager, Mishra, said no to the refund. I would never have cancelled the reservation had i known it wouldnt be refunded.
First of all, that hotel was horrible, dirty, and not in a safe area.
Secondly, the fact they charged 158.00 was robbery. I am demanding my refund that was promised me from the clerk who suggested i not stay there.

Below, I have attached an email that I sent to the hotel's director, Lisa Karen, at the location. I did this so that you may understand that I wanted to resolve this at the hotel.
All parties with whom I dealt were polite and courteous; however, they seemed afraid to do the right thing. I, James A Foster, booked my room through booking.com. Upon my arrival, I mentioned this and was then given my room key to room 626. This happened after I was required to pay double the cost of the room as a hold.
There was no mention of the parking fee either, but nonetheless, it was paid. We started out for our room. The elevator going to our section of the hotel was non-operational. Only one other elevator was operational too.
We had to wait ten minutes for an opportunity to get on the elevator. After a few more minutes, we were directed to the maintenance elevator. When we got to our floor, we couldn't find our room. We then waited for the elevator again.
As the minutes passed, we decided to take the stairs to go back downstairs to figure out how to get to our room. When we entered the corridor, we saw that our section of the floor was through a passageway that led either to the stairs or the other section. I think it would have been appropriate to tell guests about these obstacles. Having had two heart attacks and a stint placed in my heart, walking up and down the stairs isn't recommended.
When we entered the room, we noticed a strong smell of must and cleaning materials. I appreciated the cleaning materials, but guests shouldn't have to experience mustiness. Through booking.com, I requested an additional bed, which wasn't there. This maze-like situation was surprising and far from amusing.
I then spoke to the desk manager, Max Gans, who waived the resort fee, which I thought was fair. So, I went to my room for the night. The next morning, before going to the gym, I noticed a letter on my door stating that I would be charged $400 because smoke was detected. I then went to ask to speak to the manager, and was told he would be in at 1:00 PM.
They printed the smoke report for me, which showed one spike. I thought it was quite a coincidence that shortly after reporting and receiving partial compensation, the room's smoke detector was allegedly triggered. When I returned at 1:00 PM, I was told Max was on lunch. I asked which it was, and the story changed: 'oh, he's on a break; he will be back in fifteen minutes.' I said that I would wait.
After the gentleman checked a few times, Max appeared several minutes later. When I asked about the charge, he said it was already done. I asked to speak to his boss and was told that she would say the same thing. I asked to see the specs of the detector, including when and how they are calibrated and maintained.
He said that he didn't know and that I would have to ask Lisa. In closing, I am not only disappointed but also concerned. The booking.com rate can easily be nullified with these erroneous charges. Not to mention, I have yet to walk around the hotel or Vegas without being inundated with the smell of smoke.
So, I ask that my entire stay be made complimentary. This is not how I understood the hotel to operate based on reviews. I am reaching out because these practices are not what I would expect from your reputable corporation. Please let me know how you intend to resolve these issues.
If you are unwilling or unable to do so, please forward my complaint to someone who can.
Good Evening, Lisa.
First and foremost, I hope this email finds you well, in good health and spirits. I was given your email information by Mr. Maxwell Gans. However, I initially asked for contact information for whomever you answer to.
I did this because, in a very polite way, he stated that you were the only person to whom I could relay my concerns. Since I realize that this matter will not be handled at this level, I'm writing to request the phone number and email address for your supervisor.
It is unfortunate that I must take this route, but I am committed to pursuing it. Thank you in advance for your understanding and consideration.

Verified Reviewer | Carrollton, TexasFalse advertisement and wont give me my refund
The website lied to me about having availability and said I could buy one for 43 dollars, so I proceeded with the transaction. I went to the physical Oyo Motel, then the office told me there were no rooms available, so I tried to ask for my refund but they said it's not their problem.
I went to the website and even called, but my refund isn't showing up and it says I have no refund. I would love to get my money back, please.

Below, I have attached an email that I sent to the location's hotel director, Lisa Karen. I share this so you can understand that I tried to resolve this issue at the hotel first. Everyone I dealt with was polite and courteous, though seemingly afraid to take action. I, James A. Foster, booked my room through booking.com. Upon arrival, I informed them of this and then given my room key to room 626. This was after I was required to pay double the cost of the room as a hold. There was no prior mention of the parking fee, but it was nonetheless paid. We began our trek to our room, but the elevator servicing our section of the hotel was not operational. Further, only one other elevator was working. We had to wait ten minutes for an opportunity to get on the elevator. A few more minutes passed by before we were directed to use the maintenance elevator. Once we arrived at our floor, we couldn't locate our room. This led to further frustration and another wait for the elevator. We eventually decided to take the stairs to go back to the lobby to find out how to get to our room. In the corridor, we discovered that our section of the floor was accessible through a passage that led to the stairs or another section. I think it would have been considerate to warn us about these abnormal navigation challenges. Having suffered two heart attacks resulting in a stint being placed in my heart, using stairs is not recommended for me. Upon entering the room, we encountered a strong mix of a musty smell and cleaning materials. While I appreciate the cleanliness, the musty odor is not something guests should have to endure. Furthermore, through booking.com, I had requested an additional bed that was not in the room. As a result, this became a less than amusing surprise for us, like navigating a maze or an escape room. I later spoke with the desk manager, Max Gans, who kindly waived the resort fee. I found this fair, and therefore retired to my room for the night. The following morning, before using the gym, I found a notice on my door stating that a $400 charge would be added to my bill because smoke was detected. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he would be in at 1:00 PM. They were kind enough to print the smoke report for me, which showed one single spike. It seems highly coincidental that shortly after reporting my issues and receiving some compensation, the room's smoke detector allegedly went off. I returned at 1:00 PM as suggested, but was told that Max was out for lunch. I agreed to wait. After a few checks with the front desk, Max eventually appeared. When questioned about the charge, he revealed it had already been processed. When I requested to speak with his superior, he advised that she would likely say the same thing. I asked for the smoke detector's specifications, its calibration and maintenance schedules information to which he responded that he didn't know but suggested I should ask Lisa about it. In closing, I must express not only my disappointment but also my worry. The rate I got through booking.com is easily canceled out by these unwarranted charges. Moreover, I haven't been able to move around this hotel or Las Vegas without being overwhelmed by various smells. Consequently, I request my entire stay be at no cost. This is not the experience I expected based on the hotel's reviews. I'm reaching out because this doesn't seem like standard operations for a reputable corporation like yours. Please let me know how you plan to address this. If you're unable or unwilling to do so, please forward my complaint to someone who can.
Good evening Lisa,
Firstly, I hope this email finds you well and in good health and spirit. I obtained your email information from Mr. Max Gans. However, what I initially asked for was the contact information of your supervisor. I did so because Max politely indicated that you were the only person with whom I could voice my concerns. We all answer to somebody, which is why I am writing to you to obtain this information. It's clear that this issue won't be resolved at this level and while it’s unfortunate that I must take this route, I am determined to pursue it to the end. I thank you in advance for your understanding and consideration.

Verified Reviewer | Myrtle Beach, South CarolinaGeHotel are scamners and liars.
Yes. I paid.
This app says I didn't.
Not sure why. This hotel scamming people often.
This hotel said they allowed pets, emotional support pets, and service pets. They do not.
I Googled hotels at Myrtle Beach that allowed pets and they were on the list. When checking in they said no pets. Also the hotel wanted various deposits ranging from $100-$250 a day for the room,$15 remote, $15 key ,unrefundable $15 per day parking and more. I was never told ahead of time about these deposits and would have never booked this trash pit.
Garbage everywhere, needles laying around the parking lot, construction materials scattered throughout. I refused to stay at this hotel because of the pet policy, and of course all the trash and drug needles everywhere and the hotel refused to refund my $330.
I believe this place should be shut down for scamming there customers by lying and not telling customers ahead of time the outrageous rules and deposits. They are more than 30 compliant of similar problems from other people as well on the hotel site.

Verified Reviewer | Monroe, LouisianaRefund owed to me failed
I checked into this hotel on June 20th 2023. The room was absolutely disgusting.
No pillowcases, no towels, dirty bed linens, roaches everywhere, refrigerator was dirty, blood or what appeared to be blood on wall, carpet was very dirty. Was told no ther rooms available, and assured I would receive a refund after calling customer service. As of now I still haven't been refunded. I was told the refund had been issued twice, but due to an unknown technical issue, it failed.
I was told it has been processed again.
However I still have not received it. I have all conversations about the issue recorded, as well as pictures of the condition of the room.

The room was not cleaned before my arrival, the reception girl didn't care. As soon as you entered the reception, it felt depressing.
You could hear Venezuelans and Ecuadorians speaking at the entrance, waiting for 'the group' to take them to the border.
These guys are criminals smuggling people to the US and OYO hotels surely must know this. So besides being a horrible hotel, they're criminals.

I told him it's not my problem it's yours and ixigo's concern because am here through the app...! He told itne kamm rate mein ham rooms nahi dete it was something around 2500 for 24Hrs but I was having coupon and it got reduced to 2059 for and after seeing the amount he denied!
And he talked so badly he directly asked my fiance that are you guys married? We told no then he told niklo bahar! Allowed nahi hai... First of all am a regular traveller and keeps on booking frequently!
And I do agree some hotels don't allow unmarried couples!
But on the booking page it wasn't written anything like that! I just want an apology letter from the hotel management for their behaviour
